Great post! I just hit 80 on Thursday and did my first PoS run on regular with only 1 problem. The first go with Garfrost was challenging! After I got the hang of healing on the run, it was smooth sailing. Then I did it on heroic with an epic fail. The group, who of course were all experts on how a priest should spec, heal and gear, all said it was because I was disc. Just to humor them, I swapped to holy, wipe again. Back to disc. We got through it until the hunter in the group decided MD was just a waste of time and kept pulling off the tank, who was also a new 80. Of course, that too was my fault. Silly me, I forgot to use my cure huntarditis button. I have run that place about 7 times now both heroic and regular. It is still a challenging heal for a new 80, but fun. Maybe today I'll get brave enough to try HoR.

Hey Zemus,

It's funny that you found this page by searching how to heal it. In another post I did briefly explain how I got through it on my second attempt, but it's hardly a guide. In the original Wrath heroics the healer can usually carry a bad or under-geared party, but the success and failure of the IC 5-mans is dependent upon the entire group being geared and competent.

Following a step-by-step guide for healing the Garfrost fight may still result in wipe after wipe if the party doesn't grasp standing behind the boulder or if they don't have the gear to burn the boss before the frost aura becomes too much.

Rolling the dice with the random dungeon tool truly is a gamble.

Good luck to you!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your experience. I stumbled upon it after a similar experience with Pit of Saron and the random dungeoun finder, where I found myself completely unprepared, explained myself, and left party. I stumbled upon this googling "how to heal Pit of Saron 5-man heroic" hehe!
